i don’t know why you say goodbye, i say hello. 4.0

well, i’ve come to my last post on our trip to ireland. it was an amazing, wonderful, mind-blowingly fanatsic 5 days on the emerald isle with friends, old & new. of course, sharing traveling and spending time with my love & her brother made it perfect. they are 2 of the best traveling companions one could ask for… so a great big thanks to them as well!

we woke up sunday, after dancing until 3am ready for breakfast, but not ready to pack up & leave kilshane house. however, knowing that we still had 24 hours in dublin ahead of us gave us more to look forward to!

we enjoyed our last few moments at kilshane house, bid it farewell, said goodbye to our dear friends & all the wonderful people we’d met and were back in dublin by mid-late afternoon, where we decided to grab a bite to eat at a unique place, hit the temple bar area again, stroll around downtown, and fill our pub quota before heading to bed.

monday morning, we gathered our things and headed back to the airport for our flights back to sweden. of course, it was wonderful to get out of town for a few days, but we were more than happy to get back home to snuggle with our cat. however, our yearning for more travel has also been heightened. can’t wait to plan our next trip!

all packed up & ready for our last few moments at kilshane house. gonna soak up all the beauty of the house with a little photography tour.

saying goodbye…

back in sunny, lovely dublin!

we went to dinner at an old methodist church that is now a bar. yeah, i went to church on sunday. hehe.
fish & chips. and a guiness. that’s how i roll.
showing some guinness love.
with the dublin sunset lighting up the sky, we headed from dinner out to the temple bar area for the evening.

a real live leprechaun!

we ended the night at one of our other favorite pubs… the stag’s head.

another beautiful dublin morning, sending us on our way home.
hanging at the airport. this is what we do, ya know.

back on swedish soil enjoying the swedish sun, waiting for our bus ride home.
the sunset greets us in our hometown, after an incredible weekend in ireland with amazing people & unbelieveable experiences.

and that, my dear readers, concludes my posts from dublin & kilshane house. thanks so much for following along & for checking me out. i hope that you’ve enjoyed it, and that you have a chance to do any kind of traveling at some point in your life. you don’t have to go far, in my opinion… just open up your mind & your eyes, and experience the world around you.

  1. A beautifully captured journey. Reading your travel journal & looking at the photos almost makes me feel like I’ve been there, too… thanks Liz & glad you’re both home safely!
