spring break staycation.

me quote

when i got home from work tonight, it hit me. since i took off 2 weeks from work and then, plans changed, i now have 2 weeks of freedom in front of me… beginning right now! i’m thinking that staying at home is gonna be perfect – though i may go back to work the second week. anyway. i also realized that many people have easter/spring break next week, and since i’m off too, i’m getting a spring break! so, tonight, i’m planning my spring break staycation!

as i sip my wine and watch apollo 13 (space nerd alert) on tv, i am also surfing through pinterest. oh, how i love to waste time on pinterest. and i’ve decided to create my spring break 2013 bucket list. the things i wanna do, now that i am gonna have a a little bit of time. so, here’s what’s on my spring break agenda. it may not be palm trees and sunshine, but it still fells pretty damn good to me. just like george eliot says, i don’t need to go anywhere in order to have my days filled with adventures.

here’s how i wanna spend my spring break:

    1. i think it will be really great, kate. i’m looking forward to seeing what kind of posts i come up with, and i’m so thankful to have you as a faithful reader & support in my life. much love and peace to you.

  2. “… i took off 2 weeks from work and then, plans changed, i now have 2 weeks of freedom in front of me… ”

This kind of reminds me of when, in anticipation of someone stopping by, I clean my house like a crazy-person…then, they call to cancel.

On the face of it, you’d think that would be a very bad thing- except: now I have a sparkling house!!! Yay! I usually feel so good about it I take the kids & I out to dinner so we don’t mess it up right away- lol.

So, your “stay-cation” is just that, only it lasts longer. You can sleep-in, take your time, wander…& relax. Hmm. Maybe this is what you both really needed?

    Enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. exactly, tracy! this is precisely what i meant when i wrote the post about purpose. that somehow, someway, life always provides what is needed, and usually in unexpected ways. ๐Ÿ™‚

thanks! i’ll soak up every moment!

how are you doing? i’ve been thinking about you since i hadn’t heard much from you lately. peace & love, my friend.

    1. Yeah, things here as good as they can be- the interrupts of life, not withstanding.

I’m busy with an angst-ridden teen girl, a uni-student boy, myself starting a new biz in AU (a lot of time & focus) …to say—> as normal. My biggest issue is my 13 yr. old hitting issues that you hit at 13. I know we all recall how hard it was?

She’s my gypsy- an artist & musician. My tech opposite- yet is good with tech & also art. Really trying hard to help her to stay on the best path.

      That’s me right now.
