Celebrating six years of belovelive with a vlog!

Hellooooo there, my friends!

As you can see, belovelive has gotten (another!) makeover. I have had a little picture in my head, an inspiration, a kind of mood, that I wanted to convey on this blog, for a while. So, I decided to see if I could create it.

I’m not quite there yet, so things may keep changing a little  bit, but this is my base idea.

Anyway… of course I had the best reason to do a little belovelive facelift…

It’s my BLOGAVERSARY!!

Well, Saturday was my blogaversary, actually. I can really hardly believe that it’s been six years since I started this blog. To be honest, it feels so so so so much longer than just 6 years. I mean, for real. Six years is nothing in a lifetime. And, holy crap, so much has happened in 6 years.

Mostly, I’ve moved. ALOT. And had a bunch of awesome jobs.

If you don’t know the history, I started this blog in 2011 during my 1st year of living in Sweden. Two years later, Lina and I moved to Asheville. Two and a half years later, we moved back to Sweden. And now, we’ve been in Uppsala, Sweden for two years. Seems like we make changes every two years, huh? How funny! And my jobs, well, let’s see…  (in random order) I’ve worked as a minister in a church. Volunteered with a community youth organization. Been unemployed (a few times!). Done some freelance photography. Been ordained as a minister online + performed marriages. Worked as a freelance columnist, writing about coffee and Swedish fika. Gotten my international life coaching certification. Learned Swedish. And worked in a school as a mentor (which is what I do now).

Right now, though, there are no changes on the way. Except the blog makeover. No thoughts about moving or changing jobs; but, instead, it feels like we are just settling in, landing and creating our roots. At the same time, much is happening with us, especially creatively!

That’s right. Not only do I have this blog, but LIZ+LINA are popping up all over the place. We’ve always said that we wanted to work together, and right now some things just seem to be falling into place.

Many of you follow our podcast. Most of you follow us on Instagram (and soon an LIZ+LINA instagram account is starting!). And, we have also started a YouTube channel + started filming + creating videos.  It’s all so much freaking fun.

So, to celebrate my blogaversary, to give me a chance to reflect, and to give my new filming + video editing skills a chance to practice, I decided I’ve create a short video! So, lovelies, here it is. Celebrate with me!

As I said in the video, I have no idea what the future holds, but I can tell you that my inspirations for creating, and creating things with my love, and passing tips, advice, thoughts, and more inspiration on to all of you is exactly what I see in the near future. It truly feels like the sky is the limit!

And, I have to admit, so much of this comes from the fact that you have taken the time to stick with me. To visit. To comment. To reach out. To question. To care. Thank you so very much, for joining me on this journey. The honor is truly mine.

xoxo. liz.

  1. six years – awesome! It feels so much longer too! I feel I’ve read you nearly that whole time, apart from my year of barely any wifi / internet time (2012ish) but the rest of the time totally!

    1. You, my friend, are absolutely one of those that has been with me all the way. It high time we meet in person! 🙂

  2. Happy Blogaversary! I can’t remember if I’ve realized before that we started apparently within weeks of each other… I just had my sixth last month.

  3. Happy Blogaversary, Liz! You really have been the one blog I’ve stuck with for years. I look at other depending on what I’m in the mood for, but I’ve grown to feel like we’re old friends by how I’ve felt connected to you through your blog. I hope other long-time followers feel that way too and hopefully, the new ones will grow to feel that way also.
I feel bad that I’ve been out of touch with reading and commenting on here. My mind has been so scattered during this semester that I’ve had a lot of trouble with grounding myself and making sense of what I need to do each day. I also forget a lot of what I want to make time for during my small amount of free time while I’m not studying.
Thanks so much for continuing to bring this blog into the world. Hey, you did birth this blog after all! haha So happy birthday to your blog too! xo

    1. What a beautiful comment, Tracy! Thank you so much for being around and reading and following and commenting. It is so amazing to get to know you better through your presence here, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you stay with me and keep checking back. That’s the highest compliment that one could ask for! Do not feel bad at all for checking in whenever you can… I’ll be here. Doing my thing. Hoping to put out a little magic and inspiration along the way. Thank you for being a part of it all! xoxo
