Y’all. What am I doing? I’m missing out on posting in my grid. I’ve only posted stories, which is fun. But I miss the art of the grid. The slowness of the grid.

So, I’m working on a daily intentional challenge for October. Something to help me (and you, perhaps. Wink. Wink.) soak in the daily magic of the most mystical month of the year.

For now, here’s a reel with photos from September. To catch us all up. And from here on out, I’m gonna be posting more in the grid. At least that’s my intention!

08.2022 | August was all of the things. It was summery + hot. It was also coming home, returning to routines, work, and responsibilities. While at the same time, still feeling the glorious sun. Enjoying those last carefree, summer adventures. Cramming in everything all at once… filling the days with work + the nights with summer love.

And while the beginning of August was the height of summer and the golden transition into autumn, by the end of the month, the energies of summer had most definitely passed.

Autumn is in the Nordic air now. A storm blew in last weekend right at the same time as the new moon, and everything changed.

So, thank you August. For all of it. For being the last hurrah, but also the first feelings of entering that slow, inner season.

What a gorgeous, extremely busy + emotional month you have been.

Now, it’s time to settle in at home. 🌻🍁

How do I welcome August + say goodbye to summer al

How do I welcome August + say goodbye to summer all at once?

How can I find the words to express the anticipation + love I feel for the season of autumn that is beginning, even now, to settle in with her fiery august sunsets that are earlier every night?

How can I also express my gratitude for the summer of balance that has been filled with inspiration, relaxation, exploration and simplicity? Still, I can’t forget those late summer vibes that are yet come, even as I turn my daily life back to work mode tomorrow.

The only thing I know to do in these moments of transition + change, for they occur all the time, throughout the year, as we cycle through the seasons + holidays + festivals, is to simply breathe deep, gather my thoughts + feelings, and soak in the moment.

It’s time to leave behind 4 weeks of summer bliss, turn toward the setting sun, return to ritual + rhythms that rule my daily life, and prepare my soul for my favorite time of year. The deepest, magical, most soul-filled season on the wheel of the year.

Farewell, summer vacay 2022. Thank you. Just, thank you. For the joy of carefree summer days. And Autumn, I am so ready for the gifts that you bring for these next 3 months. I’m all in.

07.2022 | And just like that… July is over. I’ve made a ton of memories, traveled a bit, and truly soaked up this vacation. The highlight of it all… being with my wife. Laughing, exploring, resting, finding inspiration, relaxing, resetting, and just being us for a little bit.

One more week of vacay at home as August arrives and life returns to a bit more of rituals + routines.

We’ve been home for almost a week now… but we’re still soaking in all of those staycay vacay vibes. Mixing a few errands that need to be done, eating + drinking yummy things, day trips, long mornings + nights on the balcony, and a few cultural activities too. ✌🏼

Our two week road trip is coming to a close + we’re heading back home today (Monday). But, before I jump in the car, I just have to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for so very much:

For all of you following along + commenting.

For the opportunity to travel.

For having our own car.

For exploring + walking + being exhausted.

For all of the inspiration I've felt.

For spending time with friends + family.

For my beloved wife + companion.

For making new memories.

For all the laughter.

For having the opportunity to travel.

For our rights to vacation time in Sweden.

For expetiencing the balance of
both camp life a boutique hotel life.

For the privledge of these two weeks.

For the unplanned two weeks of vacay left.

I can’t believe it’s only been two weeks and we’ve managed to spend a week in the archipelago, stay at the Grand Hotel in Lund, walk our legs off during a heatwave in Malmö, find inspiration + creativity around every corner in Copenhagen, laugh with family, meet up with new friends, share deep, inspiring, cozy quality time with my wife, wander in nature, stumble onto delicious food + funky beer/wine places, feel the pulse of the city, and yet still feel like we’ve done it all at our own pace.

Anyway… it’s been a magical two weeks + I cannot wait to get home and see what’s in store for our unplanned two weeks left.

It’s impossible to choose only 10 photos from our 4 days in Copenhagen. 🤯 But, here are 10 tiny snippets anyway of a few moments from the capital of Denmark.

I’m certain that when I return home I’ll being doing a few blog posts so I can share more of my photos, a few stories, and a lot of tips. I cannot wait to get started on it!

This was the 3rd or 4th time Lina and I have been in CPH, and I’m pretty sure we fell in love even more.
