why we said no to the holiday hustle + bustle // episode #13

so, what’s your holiday cheer status? are you one of those people who goes all in? or are you more of a blue christmas kinda person? and, if you go all in, do you do it because you want to or is it the pressure of creating the “perfect” holiday season?

these are the things that we’re thinking about right now. and you know what, you guys? lina and i have had it with all of the “musts” and “have tos” that come along with the holiday season.

instead of caving to the pressure of having everything perfect or cramming everything into the holiday season, or spending tons of money, or running around like mad women, we’ve decided to do christmas exactly as we want it.

that is, we celebrate how we want. as simple or as crazy as we want. the point is to turn these cold, dark, winter days into meaningful, beautiful days that lift our spirits in the middle of winter. we want to create our own holiday season… one of laughter and simplicity and mindfulness and joy. but without all of the stress.

so, if you agree with us, or better yet, if you don’t agree with you, or if you simply you wanna hear more about what we are planning on doing and the kinds of traditions + fun that we choose to make a part of our holiday season, then give our latest podcast a listen.
