concerning osama. (updated)

3 May 2011

perhaps i have more to say. perhaps i do not. i’ll let these words speak for me right now….

‎”I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” ~ unknown

peace to you all.

update: i found out last night that someone started circulating the quote above and it spread all over facebook & twitter. it is, in fact, not a quote from MLK, Jr, unfortunately. however, no matter who said it, i still like the words and the thoughts. so, i’m keeping it.

What I heard is that most of the quote is actually from MLK. It’s just the first sentence that was written by someone else. Crazy how fast these things spread!
